Allen Ho is a prominent figure in the field of ophthalmology, currently serving as the Co-Director of the Retina Service and Director of Retina Research at Wills Eye Hospital since 2012. Allen has significantly contributed to the scientific landscape through advisory roles at several organizations, including ONL Therapeutics, REGENXBIO Inc., Regeneron, Genentech, and Alcon Surgical, focusing on gene therapy for retinal diseases. With a leadership background that includes serving as President of The Retina Society from 2019 to 2021, Allen also partnered with Mid Atlantic since 1999 and held an academic position as Assistant Professor at the Scheie Eye Institute from 1994 to 1999.
