Fabio Lavinsky

Fabio Lavinsky is a seasoned professional in the field of ophthalmology, currently serving as a Research Associate at Wills Eye Hospital since January 2024 and as a Professor at Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos since July 2020. Additionally, Fabio serves on the Conselho de Administração at Instituto de Oftalmologia Lavinsky and practices as an Ophthalmologist as an independent contractor since January 2010. Fabio's previous experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at NYU Langone Health from September 2016 to January 2018. An expert in ocular imaging and diagnosis, with a specific focus on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Fabio holds a Doctorate in Ophthalmology from Unifesp - Universidade Federal de São Paulo, an Executive MBA in Health from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, an MD from Pontificia Universidade Catolica-RS, and completed residency training in Ophthalmology at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, through Tel Aviv University.
