Marisa Schoen

Marisa Schoen currently serves as an Ophthalmic Surgeon at both Wills Eye Hospital and Ophthalmic Partners P.C., positions held since September 2023. Previously, Marisa held the title of Anterior Segment Surgery Fellow at the SAMUEL AND BARBARA MASKET FOUNDATION from July 2022 to July 2023 and completed an Ophthalmology Residency at Wills Eye Hospital from July 2019 to July 2022. Early career experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at ITMAT, University of Pennsylvania, from August 2011 to July 2014, and as an Office & Research Assistant in the Legal Studies & Business Ethics Department at the same university from January 2008 to August 2011. Marisa's foundational experience also includes a position as a Student Worker at the Nursing History Center and an Editor role at Market Trends Pacific. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Thomas Jefferson University (2014-2018) and a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania (2007-2011), along with a high school diploma from Punahou School (1998-2007).
