Evaanne Johnson

EvaAnne Johnson serves as the Genealogy and Local History Librarian at Wilmette Public Library since September 2020, focusing on providing services, programming, and collections related to genealogy and local history. Johnson has extensive experience in the library field, including previous roles as Adult Services ILL & Local History Librarian and Adult Services Librarian at various libraries. Additionally, Johnson is a Volunteer Arboretum Librarian at Starhill Forest Arboretum, managing the creation of a new library, and has contributed to the family business, Drake Baskets, as a Webmaster, Social Media Coordinator, and basket-weaving instructor. With a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Illinois College, Johnson combines strong language skills with a passion for history and community engagement.
