George Escaravage, MD, FACS, is a highly experienced medical professional specializing in ophthalmology. Currently serving as a Partner at Wilmington Eye since January 2021 and as the Managing Partner at Oculoplastic Consultants of the Carolinas, PLLC since September 2014, George has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing eye care. In addition to their clinical roles, George holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2006, educating the next generation of ophthalmologists. Previously, George was a Partner at Coastal Carolina Eye Clinic from October 2009 to September 2014. George received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completing an ophthalmology residency program from 1998 to 2002, after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Davidson College from 1994 to 1998.
