Marcus McVeigh

Marcus McVeigh has a strong background in finance and accounting, with over 30 years of experience. Marcus started their career as an Accounts Senior at Bygott, Burn & Co, where they prepared financial statements and performed audits for various clients. Marcus then moved on to A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd, where they worked as an Assistant Accountant, managing a team and preparing management accounts for multiple convenience stores. Marcus then joined Cromwell Motors (Grimsby) Limited as a Company Accountant, where they were responsible for producing monthly manufacturer accounts and managing the accounts, administration, payroll, and petrol forecourt staff. Marcus later joined Wilson and Co Motor Sales Ltd as a Grimsby Market Area Accountant, where they centralized and re-organized the finance and administration departments after the acquisition of two Vauxhall dealerships. Marcus also worked as a Group Financial Controller and Finance Director at Wilson and Co Motor Sales Ltd, where they performed investment appraisals, budget planning, and produced monthly consolidated cashflows and accounts. Marcus then joined Drayton Motors Kia as a Finance Director, where they performed due diligence work, formulated business plans, negotiated with stakeholders, and arranged financing for acquisitions. Marcus is currently working as a Financial Director at RJTK Automotive Group.

Marcus McVeigh attended Wintringham School from 1984 to 1990, where they completed their A Levels in French, Maths, and Economics. Afterward, from 2010 to 2012, they enrolled at Kaplan International College London, where they pursued a degree in Strategic Financial Management through the ACCA program. Marcus obtained their ACCA certification in November 2012. Additionally, they earned an AAT certification from AAT in July 1994.
