Cory Olivera has a diverse work experience. They started as a Head Coach for Men's Water Polo at Perris Union High School District in 2009. They then served as a Student Athletic Trainer at Brigham Young University Hawaii from 2013 to 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Front Office Specialist at Upper Valley Resource & Counseling Center. In 2019, they enrolled as an MHA Candidate at Trinity University and completed it in 2020. Following that, they worked as an Administrative Resident at Lone Star Circle of Care from 2020 to 2020. During the same period, they also worked as a Growth & Outreach Director and later as a Practice Administrator at National Park Medical Center until 2022. In 2022, they became a Practice Manager at Harris Regional Hospital - A Duke LifePoint Hospital and held the position until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Director of Physician Services at Wilson Medical Center starting from 2023.

Cory Olivera has a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Trinity University, obtained between 2018 and 2020. Cory also holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise from Brigham Young University–Hawaii, completed between 2013 and 2016. In terms of certifications, Cory has obtained a NCSF Strength and Fitness Personal Training certification from the National Council on Strength & Fitness in April 2015. Additionally, they have a BS Exercise and Sport Science certification from Brigham Young University Hawaii.
