B.J. Drake has extensive work experience in various roles within recruitment, team leadership, and media. Most recently, in 2020, they joined WilsonHCG as a Team Lead Recruitment, where they were responsible for managing and developing a team of engineering recruiters. Prior to that, they worked at Carrier HVAC as a Team Lead Recruitment from 2020 to 2022.

Before transitioning to the recruitment field, B.J. worked at ADP for ten years, starting in 2010. Their roles at ADP included Senior RPO Recruiter, Platinum Recruiter, and RMS Team Lead, where they managed a team of sourcing and technical specialists. B.J. played a crucial role in improving client accounts, creating training materials, and developing SOPs for team members.

Earlier in their career, B.J. worked as a Sports Reporter and Assistant Sports Editor at The Daily Chief-Union, where they contributed to the coverage of local prep sports. B.J. also gained experience in human resources as a Human Resources Intern at Nifco America Corp., where they handled recruitment efforts and conducted interviews.

Furthermore, B.J. has experience in media as a Web Content Editor at The BG News and as a Video Production Intern at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, specifically on the Jerry Springer Show. These roles allowed him to develop valuable skills in content editing and video production.

In 2022, B.J. joined Arup as a Senior Talent Acquisition Officer, further expanding their expertise in talent acquisition.

B.J. Drake completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Journalism at Bowling Green State University from 2001 to 2006. They later pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in HRM at Kaplan University from 2008 to 2010. B.J. Drake furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Indiana Wesleyan University from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, B.J. Drake has obtained several certifications related to talent acquisition, coaching, and diversity and inclusion from institutions such as SocialTalent, LinkedIn, and AIRS powered by ADP.
