Carlton Brand

Carlton is Programme Director at Somerset County Council, leading on the creation of a new single unitary authority from the existing five councils. Previously, he was Executive Director of Wiltshire Council, the Director of Adult Social Services and the Electoral Registration Officer and Returning Officer for the county. Prior to his career in local government he gained a doctorate in engineering and was Product Development Manager for Ford Europe having worked for the company throughout Europe and in Japan and the USA.
