WIN: Women in Innovation
Carolyn Hou is the Founder of Arlo Labs, a boutique research and strategy consultancy for healthcare and tech startups, established in February 2018. In addition to this role, Carolyn serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University, where graduate-level courses on Design Thinking are taught, and as Adjunct Faculty at the School of Visual Arts, focusing on Research Methods. Since June 2022, Carolyn has been the New York Chapter Lead for WIN: Women in Innovation, helping to close the gender gap in the innovation industry through actionable programming and mentorship. Previously, Carolyn was a Senior Consultant and Project Manager at ReD Associates, managing innovation and strategy consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies, and served as President of Oxford Women in Business from September 2012 to August 2013, promoting leadership among female students. Carolyn's educational background includes degrees from the University of Oxford, Smith College, and SOAS University of London.
