Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt possesses extensive experience in loss prevention and inventory control, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Loss Prevention Officer at WinCo Foods since September 2017, Michael has previously held key roles at Met-Tech Services as an Inventory Control Manager, and as a Loss Prevention Officer at both Kroger and Walmart, where responsibilities included conducting audits, developing investigatory strategies, and implementing theft and fraud mitigation programs. Additional experience includes positions as an Asset Protection Manager and Specialist, emphasizing internal investigations and compliance audits, and an earlier role at The TJX Companies, Inc. focused on shortage control and shoplifting prevention. Michael is certified in interview and interrogation techniques from Wicklander and Zulawski and graduated from Yerba Buena High School.
