Noel Cunniffe

Noel Cunniffe serves as the CEO of Wind Energy Ireland since March 2019, having previously held the roles of Deputy CEO, Acting CEO, and Head of Policy within the organization. Prior experience includes multiple engineering positions at EirGrid from May 2011 to March 2019, where responsibilities encompassed renewable integration and project management for Tomorrow's Energy Scenarios 2017. Cunniffe also worked as a Masters Researcher at the Electricity Research Centre in University College Dublin, and held engineering roles at Martin-Brower and MMKDA Engineers & Architects. Educational qualifications include a Certificate of Excellence in Regulation of the Power Sector from the Florence School of Regulation, a Master’s in Energy Systems Engineering from University College Dublin, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Galway.
