Chris Nelson

Chris, Windward’s finance manager, has more than 20 years of experience in financial management and analysis. He has extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing accurate and timely accounting systems and processes with a focus on agility in response to client and vendor requirements. His specialties are cash management, financial reporting, forecasting, project cost accounting, budgets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, time collection, taxes, and payroll. Chris has also developed and administered numerous financial analysis and reporting tools that have allowed for the tracking of complex financial transactions and positions in real time, and has developed tools for forecasting financial positions. He also has experience in designing integrated job cost accounting systems for managing, tracking, and reporting on project budgets, costs, and profits.

Outside the office, Chris is a guitarist focusing on arrangements of music from the Great American Songbook and original compositions. He also loves art, reading, listening to vinyl records, movies, biking, hiking, and his greatest joy, spending time with his amazing family.
