Hector R. de Leon

Hector R. De Leon has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Hector R. started their career as an Agricultural Engineer at Agroindustrias La Moderna in 1997, where they oversaw seedling production, soil preparation, and other agricultural operations.

In 2005, Hector joined Monsanto and held multiple positions. Hector R. served as a Commercial Corn Breeder, responsible for breeding, research, and customer interactions. Hector R. also worked as a US Licensing Corn Product Manager, where they focused on product planning and availability. Additionally, they served as a Seed Portfolio Manager - Strategic Accounts, building relationships and identifying growth opportunities with strategic retail accounts.

From 2014 to 2017, Hector worked at Land O'Lakes, Inc. as a Director of Corn Product Management. In this role, they had ownership of various aspects of the corn business, including product planning, sales forecasting, and strategic proposals.

Since 2017, Hector has been at WinField United, where they have held positions of increasing responsibility. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Seed Product Management, they oversee the P&L ownership and manages the corn and cotton proprietary business. Hector R. leads the production planning process, develops strategic proposals, and ensures maximum utilization of products.

Hector R. De Leon pursued their educational journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. Hector R. continued their academic pursuits and enrolled at Texas A&M University, where they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Agronomy. Building upon their previous accomplishments, Hector then pursued and successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Breeding from Texas A&M University.
