Deb Herndon

Special Education Academic Coach at Winfield USD 465

Deb Herndon is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in special education. Currently serving as a Special Education Academic Coach at Winfield USD 465 since August 2011, Deb mentors Special Education teachers in providing services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade. In addition, Deb has been an Adjunct Instructor for the Special Education Master's Program at Southwestern College since January 2003, teaching courses such as Instructional Strategies for Students with Learning Difficulties and Classroom Management. Previously, Deb spent over three decades as a Special Education Teacher at IXL Elementary School, where responsibilities included teaching in an interrelated classroom for grades K-5. Deb holds a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from Oklahoma Christian University.
