Mohammad Umar Farooqui

Mohammad Umar Farooqui has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Mohammad Umar started their career as a Social Work Intern at Shell Tameer in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing Intern at The Linde Group, Linde Pakistan Limited. Mohammad Umar then joined MAL Pakistan Limited as a Business Analyst in 2014. Farooqui later worked at Rocket Internet GmbH (Daraz.pk & Kaymu.pk) from 2014 to 2018, where they held the positions of Key Account Manager and Category Head. Mohammad Umar then joined Daraz in 2018, first as the Head of Retail and then as the Regional Head of Strategy and Growth. In 2022, they became the GM Pakistan at Swvl. Finally, they are currently working as the Head of Ecommerce & Wingmart at Wing since 2023.

Mohammad Umar Farooqui completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the Institute of Business Administration in 2014. Mohammad Umar then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same institute, graduating in 2022.
