Rene Baart

Rene Baart has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rene started their career at Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd in 1998, where they worked as a Manager of Customer Support before transitioning to the role of General Manager of the Initial Operation Support and Customer Assistance Centre. Rene later became a Product Manager for electronic engine control systems at the same company. In 2005, Baart joined Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd as the Director of Quality and Manufacturing. After three years, they moved on to Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd in 2008 as the Vice President of License Management, leading a multi-cultural and international team of License Directors. Rene successfully developed the licensing organization to enable production knowledge transfer and licensee support. In 2016, Baart joined Hug Engineering AG as the Vice President of Sales, responsible for the global sales of exhaust gas purification products for mobile and stationary applications. In 2023, they will begin working as a Senior Product Manager Digital at WinGD – Winterthur Gas & Diesel, where their responsibilities are not specified. Overall, Baart has showcased their expertise in various roles in the maritime and engine control systems industry.

Rene Baart's education history includes various degrees and programs. In 1981 to 1986, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Marine Machinery from Middle Technical School in Breda, Netherlands. Then, from 1987 to 1992, they attended the Advanced Nautical College Rotterdam and Vlissingen, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering. From 2016 to 2017, they pursued a CAS degree in International Management at Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. Finally, in 2017 to 2018, Baart obtained a CAS degree in Strategic Management from the same university.
