Thomas Flaherty has a diverse work experience background. In 1997, they began their career as the VP of Global Business Development at Papa John's International, where they were responsible for franchising and strategic market planning. Thomas then joined Huddle House, Inc. as the Chief Development Officer in 2009. Following that, they served as the President and CEO of Agile Pursuits Franchising, Inc., a P&G Company, where they oversaw franchise operations for Tide Dry Cleaners and Mr. Clean Car Wash. In 2019, they briefly held the position of President at Blink Fitness. Thomas Flaherty has also held various board positions, including being a Board Member at the Center for Services Leadership at Arizona State University. Recently, in 2020, they became the Chief Development Officer at Buffalo Wings & Rings. Additionally, they hold the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel, which recognizes their notable accomplishments and contributions to Kentucky society.

Thomas Flaherty obtained a certificate in The Science of Well Being from Yale University. Thomas also received a certification as a Top 100 Global Franchise Influencer from the institution Top 100 Global Influencers in Franchising in 2021.
