Marcus Gerke has a strong work background with experience in various companies. Marcus started their career as a Trainee at Rhenus Logistics in 1992 before moving on to become the stellv. Geschäftsführer at Rhenus Baulogistik GmbH from 1995 to 1997. Marcus then worked as a Product Manager Logistics Services at DB Schenker from 1998 to 2000. In 2001, they joined Eurowings as the Vice President Information Technology, where they stayed until 2010. Following that, Gerke worked at TRILUX as the Executive IT and Processes from 2010 until 2014. Currently, they are the Head of Group IT at Winkelmann Group, a position they have held since 2014.
Marcus Gerke attended the Berufsakademie Mannheim from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a Dipl. Betriebswirt (BA) degree in Fachrichtung Spedition. Additionally, during the same period, they also studied at DHBW Mannheim, where they obtained a Dipl. Betriebswirt (BA) degree in Logistik and a Diplom Betriebswirt (BA) degree in Spedition.
