Colette Adair

Colette Adair has extensive experience in human resources, spanning over 16 years. Colette is currently the Head of HR at Winn Group, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the HR Manager at Winn Solicitors Ltd for nearly a decade. Their responsibilities included overseeing legal recruitment and ensuring the hiring of qualified staff.

Before joining Winn Solicitors, Colette worked as a Senior HR Advisor at Tyne Metropolitan College, where they played a crucial role in coordinating re-deployment, retraining, and reduction of positions. Colette also provided support to Directors and Heads of Department during consultations and appeal meetings in collaboration with Trade Unions.

Colette has also gained experience in the healthcare sector, serving as an HR Officer at NHS Lead Employer Trust and as an HR Advisor at NHS Sunderland TPCT. In these roles, they handled high-volume recruitment, provided HR advice, and ensured consistent application of policies and practices.

Earlier in their career, Colette worked as an HR Advisor at John Nixon Ltd, a plant and tool hire company. Colette provided comprehensive HR support, including recruitment, disciplinary actions, performance management, and training and development. Additionally, they worked at IBM HR Service Delivery as part of the Expatriate Management team, where they advised on relocation policies and procedures for Proctor & Gamble transferees.

Colette began their HR career as an HR Assistant at Northumbria Students Union, where they were responsible for implementing HR procedures, recruitment and selection, and personnel record management. Throughout their career, Colette has demonstrated their expertise in HR management and a commitment to the success of the organizations they have worked for.

Colette Adair attended Northumbria University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a BA(HONS)CIPD degree in Human Resource Management. Prior to that, they studied at De Montfort University from 2000 to 2002, earning an HND degree in Textile Design and Marketing, focusing on Textile Design, Production, and Marketing. In 1998 and 1999, Colette studied at Newcastle College, completing a BTEC degree in Art and Design.
