Toru Nogami

Toru Nogami is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in emergency services, healthcare, and production management. From December 1999 to April 2022, Toru served as a firefighter with the North Park Fire Protection District, achieving certification as an Illinois Certified Firefighter II and Instructor I, along with expertise in NIMS/ICS and Hazardous Material Operations. In the role of Facilities Manager at Kishwaukee College from November 2019 to September 2021, Toru oversaw facility operations. Previous experience includes positions as a phlebotomist at Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois and a car move supervisor at Nippon Sharyo Manufacturing, where responsibilities involved staff management, process evaluation, and production coordination. Early experience at SwedishAmerican as an ED Tech included direct patient care and medical communication. Toru holds an Associate of Arts degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from Rock Valley College and completed education at Tomigaoka High School.
