Daniela Carey has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniela began their career in 2008 as a Program Assistant at the University of Kansas Applied English Center. In 2012, they transitioned to a role as a Project and Operations Manager at Haiti Lifeline, where they worked until 2014.

In 2015, Daniela joined Zirtual as a Zirtual Assistant for a short period of time. Daniela then moved on to work at Gusto as an Environment - Office Manager from November 2015 to January 2018.

From 2018, Daniela worked at Winnie, starting as a Software Engineer and later moving up to the position of Lead Software Engineer. During their tenure, they successfully launched Winnie's first paid feature, implementing Stripe integration for payments, which resulted in the company's first ever Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR). Additionally, they launched and maintained an in-app messaging service that led to increased user engagement and signups.

Daniela Carey's education history begins in 2007 at The University of Kansas, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in African & African-American Studies/Haitian Studies. Daniela completed their degree in 2010. In 2018, Daniela attended the Turing School of Software & Design, focusing on Front-End Engineering.

Alongside their formal education, Daniela has also obtained additional certifications. In December 2017, they completed the "Software Processes and Agile Practices" certification from Coursera. Prior to this, in October 2017, they earned a certification in "Introduction to Software Product Management," also from Coursera.
