Malav Bateriwala has over seven years of professional experience. Malav began their career in 2012 as an Intern Engineer at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, where they created control process analyses of two beverages and modules to take individual processes online. In 2013, Malav became an Engineering Trainee and Intern at Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd, where they created a model for fast PLC operation and received training in the manufacturing of transformers, rectifiers, and special transformers. In 2014, Malav moved to KUKA Robotics, where they served as a Customer Service Engineer, providing onsite work, programming, servicing, and training. In 2016, Malav became an Application Engineer at Keepsake Automation - India, where they provided turnkey solutions for customers, installed and commissioned robotics and SPMs, and worked with C++, Python, and KRL. In 2018, Malav completed a Summer Internship at Keepsake Automation. Finally, in 2019, Malav joined Winnow as a Machine Learning Researcher and CSIRO as a Research Scholar, where they enforced temporal consistency in deep learning segmentation of brain MR images.

Malav Bateriwala has a diverse educational background. Malav completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University between 2011 and 2014. Malav then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Vision and Robotics from Heriot-Watt University, Universitat de Girona, and Université de Bourgogne between 2017 and 2019. Prior to this, they attended Asia English School and obtained High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates between 2001 and 2010. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning With Python and Keras - Intermediate level from Udemy in 2018, OpenCV in Python and Machine Learning from Udemy in 2018, KUKA Advanced Training from KUKA Robotics, KUKA Mechanical Training from KUKA Robotics, and TwinCat - NCI training from Beckhoff Automation.
