Douglas E. White

SVP at Winslow, Evans & Crocker, Inc.

Douglas is the Chief Investment Officer and manager of the Investment Advisory division of Winslow, Evans & Crocker. In this capacity, he provides market and economic overviews and investment strategies for the Registered Investment Advisors and Financial Planners of the firm. Additionally, he chairs the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and is responsible for asset allocation and fund manager selections for the Winslow Preferred Portfolios.

For the past twenty-five years, Douglas has provided separate account, individually tailored portfolio management services for his clients. By using a top-down view of markets and economies in combination with a bottom-up analysis of sectors and industries, he builds portfolios of tax-free and taxable income securities and equities to meet the investment objectives of individuals and trusts.

Prior to joining Winslow, Douglas was a Managing Director for the Private Client Division of Detwiler, Fenton & Co.; Vice President at the JPMorgan Private Bank (Boston); and, prior to that, a Vice President at PaineWebber, Inc.

Douglas is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with honors, from Northeastern University in 1973 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1976.
