Sub/extra Section Bass at Winston-Salem Symphony

Bill Morris is an accomplished bassist with extensive experience in various orchestras and performances. Currently serving as Sub/Extra Section Bass for both Charlotte Symphony and Winston-Salem Symphony since November and September 2018 respectively, Bill also holds the position of Section Bass at Greensboro Symphony Orchestra since January 2021. Previous engagements include performances at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Jefferson Performing Arts Society, showcasing talents in opera, ballet, musical theatre, and Broadway shows. Bill has also contributed to music education as an Instructor of Double Bass at Tulane University, University of New Orleans, and The University of Alabama. Bill holds a Master’s degree in Orchestral Performance from Manhattan School of Music, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Double Bass Performance from East Carolina University, and a Postgraduate Degree in Jazz Studies from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
