Winston-Salem Symphony
Susan Fortkiewicz is an accomplished executive administrator currently serving the Winston-Salem Symphony since November 2021, providing vital support to senior staff and the Board of Directors, alongside financial and community engagement administration. Prior to this, Susan held various roles at the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts from 2004 to 2020, advancing from Festival Production Assistant to Festivals Manager, where management of multiple signature festivals was executed. Additionally, Susan spent nearly nine years at Marriott Hotels as a Senior Catering Sales Executive, overseeing complex catering operations and event management. A graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University with a B.A. in Communication Arts, Susan brings a strong foundation in advertising and public relations to their professional endeavors.

The Winston-Salem Symphony is one of oldest and most respected professional arts organizations in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad. Started in 1946, the Symphony incorporated as a non-profit North Carolina corporation in 1952 and has been bringing live music, innovative performances, and educational programming to the region for nearly 75 years.
