Marvin P. Pastel, II

Marvin P. Pastel, II is a founding partner of the firm and his practice includes community association law – both transactional and litigation. Marvin enjoys dealing in new and controversial issues such as prohibiting Airbnb in HOAs and tackling illegal leasing. His practice includes assessment collections, amendments to governing document amendments, breach of the governing documents, board of director disputes and all other areas of community association disputes. Marvin has substantial knowledge in general construction litigation, with extensive experience representing insurance disaster restoration contractors, engineers, and adjusters.

Marvin is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory which is its highest professional rating based on his years of experience and endorsement by his colleagues in the areas of professional conduct, ethics, and ability. Marvin is also recognized since 2015 in SuperLawyers Georgia. Marvin is an accredited LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate and holds a deep understanding of the most current building principles and practices.

Marvin received his B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where he served as editor on the Florida State Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Marvin was the financial officer and controller for a large, regional contractor specializing in excavation, highway, railroad, real estate development, sewer, and mining.

Marvin is president of his neighborhood park: Mountain Way Commons. He is also very active in Citizen’s Climate Lobby, a national organization seeking to curb climate change. He is the advocate liaison for Senator Johnny Isakson and is a lobbyist to members of Congress in Washington D.C.
