Mengdan Xu

Mengdan Xu is a Biostatistician at WinterLight Labs. Mengdan has a Master of Science in Statistical Sciences from the University of Toronto. Mengdan has experience working as a Graduate Student Researcher, Teaching Assistant, Practicum Student, and Administrative Assistant Intern.

Mengdan's previous experience as a Graduate Student Researcher includes working under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Paterson on a thesis comparing methods for longitudinal analysis of quantitative traits in genome-wide association studies (GWAS). In their role as a Teaching Assistant, Mengdan was responsible for giving weekly review tutorials based on lecture contents, organizing writing and speaking practice for students, invigilating exams, grading practices, posters and exams. As a Practicum Student at St. Michael's Hospital, Mengdan had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of statistics. Finally, Mengdan's experience as an Administrative Assistant Intern at Shanghai University of Finance & Economics gave their the opportunity to hone their administrative skills.

Mengdan's combination of education and experience make their well-suited for their current role as a Biostatistician at WinterLight Labs.

Mengdan Xu has a Master of Science in Biostatistics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Mengdan Xu is also certified by SAS in SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 and SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9.
