Mario Heene has been working as a Senior Software Engineer for two companies. From 2018 to 2020, they worked for Infineon Technologies, where they contributed to the development of an analog circuit simulator that is heavily used for the development of the company's semiconductor products. Mario was involved in the whole software development cycle, including planning, implementation, testing, infrastructure improvements, and deriving new requirements from user requests or support cases. Their main responsibility was performance engineering. Since 2020, they have been working for Wintermute as a Senior Software Engineer.
Mario Heene attained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computational Science and Engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2010. Mario then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) with Honors in Computational Engineering from the same university from 2011 to 2012. In 2011, they also attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Scientific Computing. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Scientific Computing | High Performance Computing from the University of Stuttgart in 2017.
