Desmond Kiernan

Desmond Kiernan is a seasoned BIM professional with extensive experience in various roles related to Building Information Modeling. Currently serving as BIM Lead at Winthrop and DPS Group Global since September 2022 and March 2021 respectively, Desmond also holds the position of BIM Coordinator at Designer Group since April 2018. Previous roles include Mechanical BIM Lead Site Coordinator and Lead Electrical BIM Coordinator at Jones Engineering from March 2013 to February 2018. Earlier in the career, Desmond worked as an Electrical Foreman at DMC Electrical and Ashcoin Electrical, and began the journey as an Apprentice Electrician at Ryetech Electrical & Alarms from February 2000 to 2004. Desmond is currently pursuing a BSc (Hons) in BIM (Digital Construction) at TU Dublin, complementing previous educational achievements that include a degree in Electrical Apprenticeship from Fas and studies at DIT Kevin Street.
