Deepak Chandran

Deepak Chandran has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Deepak started their career as a Research Associate at CRISIL Limited, where they focused on business analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, and report writing. Deepak then moved on to KPMG, where they worked as a Consultant in the Corporate Finance department, assisting clients in acquiring companies and managing the entire engagement process. After KPMG, they joined Oracle India as a Manager (Finance), specifically working in North America Consulting.

In 2005, Chandran joined Wipro Limited as the Global Finance Head for IT Infrastructure and Testing Services. Deepak played a pivotal role in setting up and managing the business finance function for these divisions, leading to significant growth and annual revenues of over $1 billion. Deepak was also responsible for budgeting, planning, forecasting, profitability measurement and management, reporting, negotiation, and review of operational and financial metrics. Chandran was instrumental in transforming the business from a remote people augmentation model to a key player in providing end-to-end IT infrastructure outsourcing solutions.

As for their role in Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, Chandran served as the Chief Financial Officer (International), managing the personal care and skincare business in 40+ countries outside of India. Deepak was also involved in M&A activities and had oversight of 10 manufacturing facilities across various countries, including China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, and South Africa. Later on, they became the SVP & Regional Director for EMEA & Exports, leading the Wipro Consumer Care business in Europe, Middle East, Africa, South Asia (excluding India), and export markets. In addition, they also served as a Partner in the Wipro Consumer Care Venture Fund.

Deepak Chandran has completed their education in accounting and finance. Deepak holds a degree in Chartered Accountancy from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Deepak has also completed their 12th Commerce from Kendriya Vidyalaya and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accountancy & Economics from Mar Ivanios College.
