Robert Elliot has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Robert began their career as a Technical Lead at ioko in 2004, where they worked until 2008. Robert then worked as a Java Developer at Investis for a brief period before joining Razorfish as a J2EE Developer on the O2 Shop project. In 2009, they joined Sky as an Agile Developer and later became a Senior Software Developer and the joint technical lead on a back-end single-sign-on access management platform project. In 2012, Robert joined the Financial Times as a Technical Architect, where they played a key role in migrating the FT's authorization system and implementing agile methodologies. In 2014, they founded their own company, Teviotia Ltd, through which they worked as a Consultant at Energized Work on various projects such as Utility Warehouse and Pottermore. In 2015, they worked as a Developer at Pottermore. In 2018, Robert joined Expedia Group as a Senior Software Developer, and in 2022, they started working as a Software Engineer at WireMock.

Robert Elliot attended the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Modern History. In November 2012, they also obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
