Jani Vehkalahti

Jani Vehkalahti has extensive work experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. Jani currently holds the position of SVP Smart Grids at Wirepas since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and later as the SVP, GM EMEA at Wirepas from 2017 to 2023. In these roles, they were responsible for managing sales teams, building worldwide sales organizations, and optimizing connectivity solutions.

Before joining Wirepas, Jani worked at Redbend as the Sales Director, Nordics from 2011 to 2015. Jani managed Redbend's accounts and operated independently from Finland. Additionally, they worked at ST-Ericsson as a Sales Manager from 2008 to 2011, where they competed with major companies like Qualcomm and Texas Instruments in the mobile semiconductor market.

Earlier in their career, Jani was a part of STMicroelectronics as the S60 Field Application Lead from 2006 to 2008. Jani led the technical customer interface towards Nokia and handled complex chipset business. Prior to that, they worked at Nokia from 2001 to 2006 in various roles, including Senior Technical Consultant and Software Architect. In these roles, they provided technical support, solved technical challenges, and contributed to the development of Symbian-based smartphones.

Jani started their career as a DSP SW Developer Trainee at Nokia Mobile Phones in 1999 while studying at university. Jani implemented low-level video components during this time.

Jani Vehkalahti pursued their education at the University of Oulu from 1998 to 2002. During this period, they successfully obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
