Jussi Numminen

Jussi Numminen has extensive experience in telecommunications and standardization, currently serving as Director and Head of Radio Strategy and IPR at Wirepas since November 2015. Prior to this role, Jussi held various leadership positions, including Director of Cellular Connectivity at Microsoft, where participation in the 3GPP RAN standards team and 5G concept work was prominent. At Ericsson, Jussi acted as an Expert in Modem Radio Standards and Master Researcher, contributing to 5G systems and CIoT studies, and was pivotal in shaping the modem technology roadmap. Jussi's tenure at ST-Ericsson as Head of Telecom Ecosystem & Strategy involved guiding standardization efforts and modem technology roadmapping. Additionally, experience at ST Microelectronics and Nokia further solidified Jussi's expertise in communication technologies, with significant contributions to UTRAN/LTE and wireless strategy development. Early career began at Teleste Antenni OY as an R&D engineer focusing on CATV amplifier and optical receiver designs.
