Martin Schooley

Martin Schooley joined Wischermann Partners Executive Team in 2019 as Vice President of Operations, having previously served as General Manager of the Le Meridien Chicago-Oakbrook Center, a market-leading, four diamond, lifestyle property. Mr. Schooley is a 30-year veteran in the hospitality industry with Marriott International.

Prior to joining Wischermann, Mr. Schooley served in numerous executive leadership positions in downtown, resort, airport and suburban properties across various brands.

Mr. Schooley believes in an associate-forward culture where dignity and respect are the cornerstones of performance. His operational expertise and team building skills drive profit maximization for owners while creating personal guest experiences. He takes pride in operational innovation which has resulted in increased profit and higher margins.

An involved community leader, Schooley served seven years as fundraising chair for Marriott’s Chicago Business Council serving Children’s Miracle Network, helping local children’s hospitals exceed fundraising goals. He also served his communities on local boards including Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Moderator for the Board of Deacons in his local church.

Schooley and his properties have received awards and recognition for Community Service, Financial Achievement and Director of the Year awards.

Schooley and his wife Mary have three children and are currently based in Chicago. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
