Jessica Gross, DNP, RN has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Jessica started their career in 2002 as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. During their time there, they gained expertise in caring for patients with various cardiac conditions and specialized equipment.
In 2011, Jessica took on the role of Nurse Clinical Program Coordinator for the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program at UW Health. Jessica was responsible for screening candidates, developing patient care protocols, and providing patient education for this groundbreaking program.
After their role as a Nurse Clinical Program Coordinator, Jessica became the Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Cardiology and Cardiology Intensive Care units. Jessica managed a team of 54 direct reports and worked closely with the cardiology medical director to ensure quality care and outcomes.
In 2015, Jessica was promoted to the position of Director of Professional Services at UW Health. In this role, they provided oversight to several departments, including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Imaging, Echo/Vascular Services, Culinary Services, and Clinical Nutrition.
Most recently, Jessica joined the Wisconsin Department of Corrections in 2022 as the Director of the Bureau of Health Services. In this position, they are responsible for the overall management and direction of health services within the department.

Jessica Gross, DNP, RN obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from UW-Oshkosh in 2002. Jessica later pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Nursing Administration from Edgewood College, completing their degree between 2008 and 2012. Continuing their education, they earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing Administration from Edgewood College from 2013 to 2015.
