Maryanne Cowart

Maryanne Cowart serves as a Transportation Specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation since 2024. Previous experience includes roles in disease investigation at the Eau Claire City-County Health Department, pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy, and community health with Marshfield Clinic Health System AmeriCorps. Additionally, Maryanne worked as a wastewater technician at Hutchinson Technology Inc., focusing on water purity and regulatory compliance, and as a customer service manager at Walmart overseeing over 70 associates. An earlier role as a research science intern at Beaver Creek Reserve involved invasive species biocontrol and early childhood education, while also serving as a research teaching assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Maryanne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety and another Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, along with an Associate of Arts and Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Center - Barron County.
