Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories
Jacob Schemm currently serves as a Microbiology Technologist at Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories, a position held since April 2018, where responsibilities include processing specimens, employing microscopic techniques, identifying microorganisms, and training new technologists while ensuring compliance with safety and confidentiality standards. Previous experience as an Aerospace Medical Technician in the Air National Guard from April 2012 to November 2017 involved rapid response to CBRNE events, maintaining EMT certification, and collecting and handling laboratory specimens. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biostatistics at the same institution, expected to be completed in May 2025.
