Kayla Wandsnider

Kayla Wandsnider is a Critical Infrastructure Planner at Wisconsin Emergency Management, starting in December 2023. Prior roles include serving as the East River Community Resilience Coordinator and Fellow at The Nature Conservancy from September 2021 to December 2023, where responsibilities involved enhancing watershed flood resiliency through community engagement and collaborative planning. Previous experience also includes positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Kayla worked as a Project Assistant for the WI Sea Grant Institute and as a Teaching Assistant. Additional roles span flood management internships, pharmacy technician duties, and wilderness trip leadership, showcasing a diverse background in planning, environmental management, and education. Kayla holds dual master's degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Water Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with qualifications in Geographic Information Science and a bachelor's degree in Biology.
