Malia Bonno

Malia Bonno is an experienced payroll and benefits specialist currently serving as Payroll Specialist Advanced for the State of Wisconsin, providing expertise for multiple state agencies since July 2022. Malia has a diverse background in payroll management with additional roles as Payroll Benefits Specialist at the Wisconsin Historical Society and previously as Office Manager at the WI Department of Corrections. Prior experience includes leadership positions at CPI and Cpi Corp., where Malia honed skills in mentoring and training staff. Malia began a career in collections at Discover Financial Services, specializing in consumer credit card accounts. Educationally, Malia holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Development and Training from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, a Bachelor of Science in Management from Cardinal Stritch University, and a Certificate in Human Resources from Madison Area Technical College.
