Amaresh Srikanthan

Amaresh Srikanthan is a legal professional with extensive experience in public defense. Currently serving as the Training Coordinator and Assistant State Public Defender at the Wisconsin State Public Defender since January 2023, Amaresh previously held the position of Staff Attorney at the New Hampshire Public Defender from August 2016 to December 2022. Additional experience includes roles as a Student Attorney at the NYU Federal Defender Clinic and a Summer Law Clerk at the Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. During academic training, Amaresh worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Kim Taylor-Thompson and interned at several organizations, including the Legal Aid Society and Drug Policy Alliance. Amaresh holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Economics from Pomona College.
