Christian Thornton has over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles. Christian began their career in 2001 as a Lieutenant Senior Grade (O3) in the US Navy. In 2008, they became a Medical Technologist at Richland Hospital, where they were responsible for the efficient and timely collection and testing of patient samples, and was able to demonstrate proficiency to such a degree that they were utilized as a tech with minimal supervision after only 6 weeks. In 2011, they moved to LifeQuest as a Billing Support Manager. In 2012, they became a Medical Technologist at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. In 2014, Christian was hired as Documentation Manager at ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board. In 2016, they became the Global Director at iNARTE and the Director of North American Certification at Exemplar Global, Inc. In 2021, Christian was hired as the Vice President and COO of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce, an organization that supports veteran-owned and veteran-friendly businesses across Wisconsin.
Christian Thornton has a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, obtained in 2009. Christian also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Transportation (Business) from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, obtained in 2004. Christian has also obtained three additional certifications: a GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer License (DB) + Ship Radar Endorsement from the Federal Communications Commission in 2020, an iNARTE Telecommunications Master Engineer from iNARTE in 2016, and a General Radiotelephone Operator License (PG) + Ship Radar Endorsement from the Federal Communications Commission in 2016.
