René Barrera

René Barrera began their career in 1993 as an Ingeniero de preventa for ABB. René then moved on to become a Gerente de cuentas comerciales for SITA in 1996, followed by a role as Director de proyectos de tecnología for Unefon in 2000. In 2005, René co-founded Soluciones Móviles Global, where they were responsible for conceiving and executing business cases, presenting commercial results, and supervising sales to private companies and government entities. In 2009, René took on the role of Gerente superior de cuentas for Nokia, where they were responsible for P&L for Telcel and selling the portfolio of Nokia Networks solutions. In 2011, René became a Gerente superior de cuentas for Tellabs. In 2013, they were appointed Director de cuentas clave for Oracle, where they provided leadership to sales and account management processes and increased Oracle's revenue associated with the full range of Oracle products/solutions for America Movil/Telmex Key Account. In 2015, René joined Teradata as a Consultor del sector, responsible for building profitable business cases for Big Data and Advanced Analytics solutions throughout Latin America for the America Movil Group. In 2016, René co-founded Marduk Innovaciones Móviles. Finally, in 2022, René will become the Country Manager for Wiseasy.

René Barrera's education history includes earning an MSc in Financial Management from the University of London between 2003 and 2005, an MBA from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México between 1998 and 2000, and an Engineering degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey between 1991 and 1995 in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering.
