Beatriz Baltar

Beatriz Baltar is the COO at Wiserentr. Beatriz was previously the Country Director for Spain and Portugal at Orwell Group from December 2013 to May 2020.

Orwell Group is a London based financial services group delivering breakthrough services that represent a transformational change to the way individuals, businesses, public sector organisations and other financial institutions manage cash and payment transactions.

During their time with Orwell Group, they were responsible for the entire process to establish the branches in Spain (PI and EMI) and Portugal (EMI) until registration with the Central Banks. Beatriz was also the legal representative of the branches before the Bank of Spain and Bank of Portugal and MLRO before the Spanish AML supervisory authority and FIU (Sepblac).

In January 2018, they became Co-Head of operations for Orwell Group's in-house payment platform. In this role, they were responsible for customer registration, supporting customer daily operations (Mobile App, card payments and credit transfers SEPA, Swift, Target2, FP, Bacs and Chaps), dealing with generic customer support queries in several languages (email, chat through ZenDesk), handling of complaints, and escalating to other departments any query/issue from customers. Beatriz was also responsible for collaborating closely with the development team on defining the procedures for the new in-house banking platform.

In addition to their work with Orwell Group, they also managed the ipagoo Madrid office (18 employees).

Beatriz Baltar has a licenciado in Derecho from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an Erasmus Program in Law from Pantheon Sorbonne - Paris, and a Bachillerato from Colegio FEM.

Beatriz Baltar works with Alvaro Molano - CTO, Antonio Ríos dos Santos - CFO, and Carlos Sánchez - Director, Commercial. Beatriz Baltar reports to Carlos Sanchez, Founder & CEO.
