Jonathan Harrison is a British businessman who has worked in the mining industry for over fifteen years. Jonathan is currently the Non-Executive Director of Wishbone Gold, a gold exploration and mining company.
Harrison began their career in 2004 as the Board Finance Director of Sirius Minerals Plc, a British company that explored for and mined copper in Macedonia. Jonathan was responsible for financial reporting, cash management, and investor relations. In 2009, Harrison helped lead Sirius Minerals Plc through a series of acquisitions, including Dakota Salts LLC, Auspotash Corporation, Adavale Holdings Pty Ltd., and Derby Salt Pty Ltd.
In 2011, Harrison helped Sirius Minerals Plc acquire York Potash, a company with mineral rights in Yorkshire, England. Following the acquisition, Harrison handed over management of Sirius Minerals Plc to an experienced team of mining experts and took on the role of Non-Executive Director.
Since joining Wishbone Gold in 2016, Harrison has been instrumental in raising over £10 million from private investors and institutions. Under Harrison's leadership, Wishbone Gold's market capitalization has increased from £5 million to £160 million.
Jonathan Harrison is a Chartered Accountant who has studied at ICAEW, Wrekin College, Wellington, and The Investor Relations Society. Jonathan has also completed a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Pass from Basic Food Hygiene Certification.
