Richard O’dell Poulden

Richard O’dell Poulden has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Richard is currently the Chairman & CEO at Wishbone Gold.

Richard founded Sirius Exploration in 2004 and took the company public in 2005. Sirius Minerals Plc was formed in 2011 when Sirius Exploration merged with another potash company, Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. Sirius Minerals was the only potash company listed on the London Stock Exchange and had a market capitalization of over £200 million when Richard stepped down as Deputy Chairman in 2012.

In 2013, Richard founded Black Swan Plc, a gold mining company with operations in Australia and Indonesia. Black Swan was acquired by Wishbone Gold Plc in 2016. Richard has been Chairman & CEO of Wishbone Gold since the acquisition.

Richard O’dell Poulden graduated from the University of Oxford with a MA Jurisprudence. Richard then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Business Administration (MSc) (MBA) from the London Business School.
