Lovelee Polite

Lovelee Polite joined WCS in 2012 as the Fernhill campus’ seventh and eighth grade science teacher, and she became Awbury's Middle School Director in 2019. Prior to working at WCS, Lovelee taught high school science as part of Teach for America within the D.C public school system. Within her ten years as an educator, Lovelee has trained several student teachers through partnerships with some of the areas top educational programs and served several teachers as Lead Teacher within the Fernhill campus’ middle school for the last three years. Lovelee has a passionate desire to see the day when all children in the nation will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education and has worked hard to build systems that make this goal more attainable. She hopes to spread this belief and support others in believing and seeing that this goal is attainable. Lovelee loves traveling, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with her family.
