Heather Steinman

Heather Steinman is the current Vice President of Business Development at Wistar Institute of Anatomy & Biology. Heather has over 20 years of experience in biomedical sciences licensing and business development. Prior to their current position, Ms. Steinman was the Director of Penn Center for Innovation Perelman School of Medicine Office at the University of Pennsylvania from February 2008 to October 2014. Heather was also the Sr. Licensing Officer at University of Massachusetts Medical School from January 1998 to December 2008. Ms. Steinman has a proven track record in negotiating and executing complex agreements and has played a key role in the growth and success of both organizations.

Heather Steinman received their PhD in biomedical sciences from UMass Chan Medical School. Heather also holds an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and a BS in biology and psychology from Baldwin Wallace University.

They are on a team with Peter Scarpati - Director, Facilities, Luis J. Montaner - VP, Scientific Operations, and Joseph G. Trainor - CFO. Heather Steinman reports to Dario C. Altieri, President & CEO.
