Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technology. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has contributed to the design and development of hardware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and related devices. Previously, Chris worked as a firmware engineer at SMART Technologies, creating diagnostic tools for similar products. An electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, Chris was responsible for designing and repairing educational devices. Early in the career, Chris served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and was involved in developing control systems for harvesting equipment as an electronics engineer at Grindcom. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
