Miguel Luzio has been working in the technology and media industry since 2008. Miguel began their career as a Scientific Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações and UNINOVA. In 2012, they became an University Instructor at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa - FCT NOVA. In 2011, they composed and performed the original score for the short film "MK Spitfire" by Filipa Ruiz.
In 2014, Miguel joined Skyline Communications as a System Developer, where they were responsible for driver and application development in xml and c# for Cisco, Nevion, Newtec, Siemens, NEC, Nagios devices. Miguel was later promoted to Technical Account Manager, Senior Technical Account Manager, and Key Account Manager.
In 2020, Miguel began working at Witbe as an Account Executive. Miguel was later promoted to Solutions Architect & Operations Manager, where they were responsible for supervising all aspects of operations (support, delivery, customer success, new implementations) together with pre-sales and solution architect activities. Miguel also served as a Solutions Architect, designing new solutions to align customer needs against company products, and as a Presales Engineer, engaging in proof of concept, business development and customer engagement on south Europe countries.
Miguel Luzio obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Telecommunications from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa between 2010 and 2014. Miguel obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from the same institution between 2007 and 2009. Miguel also participated in an ERASMUS program at Tampere University of Technology between 2008 and 2009, studying Telecommunications Engineering. In December 2019, they obtained a certification in Succeeding as a First-Time Tech Manager from LinkedIn.
